Girls on the Run 5K

Yesterday CES hosted the ‘Girls on the Run 5K’ end of season run! This program is a National Program based out of North Carolina and after much hard work is now a part of our school district. CES had 14 girls, grades 3rd - 5th and 4 coaches (Amber Johnson, Donna White, Courtney Sowell and Breanna Spaulding. This season was cut a little short due to COVID-19, but the girls and coaches met each week for 6 weeks. Each lesson focuses on building the girls overall self-esteem as well as the end of season celebratory 5K that gives them a sense of achievement. This year the 5K included runners from both Campbellsville and Taylor County. Thank you to all the coaches and congratulations to all of the girls who came out and ran the 5K!!
