The National Art Honor Society (NAHS) is designed specifically for high school students in grades 9-12. In 1978, the National Art Education Association began the National Art Honor Society program to inspire and recognize students who have shown an outstanding ability and interest in art. The NAHS strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, service and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community.
In the past 3 years our CHS National Art Honor Society has grown from 4 members to 21! We hope to continue to grow the organization and keep it moving forward as being an integral part of our school and community. We want to continue to work harder to expose others to works by these excellent student artists. We want also to expose our student artists to works by world famous classical and contemporary professional artists and to real life art experiences.
If you are on Facebook, "like" our page with the ridiculously long name Campbellsville Middle and High School Amazing Arts. Comment and/or like the pics of student artists at work and at play, their artwork and our field trips so that our student artists are aware that you notice them and what they are accomplishing. As always, in whatever capacity that you can, acknowledge and support our student artists and arts in education.
