CES guidance counselor receives Change Award


Campbellsville Elementary School Guidance Counselor Sonya Orberson received the Change Award at the Campbellsville Board of Education meeting on Monday, June 11.


Campbellsville Independent Schools Superintendent Kirby Smith honors three Change Award winners each month, including a certified and classified employee and a community member.


Orberson received the certified Change Award for the month of May, but was unable to attend the Board meeting that month.

CHS soccer team hosts first summer camp


Campbellsville High School soccer team recently hosted its first summer camp.


About 20 local children attended.

CIS summer feeding program begins


Children who need a free breakfast and lunch this summer can come to Campbellsville Independent Schools.


CIS began its summer feeding program on Monday, June 4.


In the program, meals will be provided to all children younger than 19 for free.


The meals will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis, at Campbellsville Elementary School cafeteria.


Meals will be served on Monday through Friday, through June 29.

CMS baseball team takes on Hart County


Campbellsville Middle School baseball team recently took on Hart County.


CMS lost a close match up in the A game.


The team picked up a win in the B game.
