CES fourth-graders draw self-portraits

Campbellsville Elementary School fourth-graders recently learned how to draw self-portraits.

In Adrienne Hash’s art class, students recently discussed how artists use distortion in their work.

Hash discussed Pablo Picasso’s work, and students looked at many pieces in which he distorted the person’s image in a portrait.

After the lesson, Hash asked students to create their own distorted self-portraits using Picasso’s style.
