CMS students prepare ‘survival guide’ for new teacher

Campbellsville Middle School sixth-grade leadership students recently created a “survival guide” for their new teacher.

LeeAnn Grider, who completed a teaching degree at Campbellsville University last month, is now teaching sixth-grade math at CMS.

Grider also recently completed student teaching at Campbellsville elementary and high schools.

In Grider’s leadership class, she asked students to prepare a “survival guide” for her to learn all she needs to know about CMS.

Students were divided into groups and asked to create a presentation for Grider, including answers to several questions.

In their presentations, students told Grider about the culture at CMS, including the clubs, activities, sports, teachers, dress code, lunches, school rules and more.

Grider asked students to tell her what it’s really like to be an Eagle.

After preparing their information, students presented for Grider and their classmates.
