CES students make Native American art

Campbellsville Elementary School students are learning to make Native American art.

Third-graders in Adrienne Hash’s art classes recently drew Native American shields on paper plates.

Students discussed how Native Americans used shields to represent special powers and symbols.

Hash asked students to decorate their shields with a special power they would like to have or a symbol that represents them.

After drawing their shields, students will add color to them by using watercolor paints.
