CHS students learn about parenting

Campbellsville High School students are learning about parenting – with babies who need to be changed, fed and held.

Students in Deanna Campbell’s parenting classes are using RealCare baby simulators to learn what it’s like to be parents.

The babies – which come with birth certificates – simulate what it might actually be like to take care of a baby at all times.

The babies need to be fed, held, bathed, changed and sleep.

An electronic simulator inside the baby holds students responsible for taking care of the child, and measure how well the baby is cared for.

RealCare babies also track how of how often a baby has had his or her clothes on and how long the baby has been left sitting.

After becoming familiar and comfortable with the babies, students will take them home for a night.
