CIS to host cheerleading league

Campbellsville Independent Schools will host a developmental cheerleading league for girls in kindergarten through fifth grade.

 

Those eligible to participate are students attending Campbellsville Independent Schools or Kentucky Christian Academy.

 

Players will meet two times each week, one day for practice and on Sunday afternoons for games.

 

Campbellsville High School cheerleading coaches Lisa Wiseman and Nikki Price will coordinate the league, along with CHS cheerleaders.

 

Participants will work on fundamental skills such as jumps, motions and learning cheers.

 

Activities will be in the Campbellsville Middle School multi-purpose room and CHS gymnasium.

 

Participants will be grouped based on age, grade and ability level.

 

Those interested can sign up on Tuesday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 6 p.m. or Thursday, Nov. 9, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the CHS gym.

 

Cost is $35 per participant and each will receive a T-shirt and secondary insurance coverage. Cost for two participants in the same family will be $60.
