CES students receive treats for collecting food, supplies for hurricane victims

Campbellsville Elementary School students recently received special treats for collecting food and supplies for hurricane victims in Texas.

Hurricane Harvey came through Texas recently, and, according to the National Hurricane Center, is the biggest rainstorm on record with rainfall reaching about 50 inches in some places.

CES fifth-graders wanted to collect supplies to send to those impacted by the flooding. And, the students challenged the other classes at CES to also collect supplies.

The class that collected the most items was to receive a special treat.

However, because students brought in so many donations, all students recently received a special ice cream sandwich treat.
