CHS girls’ basketball players receive awards

Campbellsville High School girls’ basketball players recently received awards for their hard work during the 2016-2017 season.

 

Players were honored for their dedication to their team during a banquet on Sunday, March 19.

 

Award winners include:

 

Varsity Most Improved Award – Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Abi Wiedewitsch.

 

Varsity 110% Award – CHS senior Caylie Blair.

 

Varsity Leadership Award – CHS junior Kayla Young.

 

Varsity FG% Award – CHS freshman Katelyn Miller, with 48%.

 

Varsity Three-Point FG% Award – CHS junior Vonnea Smith and Campbellsville Middle School seventh-grader Bri Gowdy, at 28%.

 

Varsity Free Throw Award – Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Catlyn Clausen, at 70%.

 

Varsity Most Points Award – CHS junior Kiyah Barnett, at 247.

 

Varsity Leading Rebounder Award – CHS senior Brenna Wethington, at 199.

 

Varsity Steals Leader Award – CHS junior Kiyah Barnett, at 40.

 

Varsity Leading Assist Award – CHS senior Caylie Blair, at 70.

 

Freshmen Coaches Award – Campbellsville Middle School seventh-grader Lainey Watson.

 

Junior Varsity Coaches Award – CHS junior Kayla Young and Campbellsville Middle School eighth-grader Abi Wiedewitsch.

 

Varsity Coaches Award – CHS seniors Caylie Blair and Brenna Wethington.

 

Anthony Epps just completed his first season as CHS girls’ basketball head coach.

 

Assistant coaches are Katie Wilkerson, Natalia Warren, George Eon and Debbie Gowdy-Smith.
