Campbellsville Elementary School students recently had some fun with Valentine math.
In Luci Shofner’s first-grade class, students used Sweetheart candies to help practice counting and sorting.
Each student was given a handful of candies and then asked to sort them by color.
Students used a worksheet to graph how many candies they had of each color.
When they were finished, students could enjoy their candies as a snack.
CES first-grader Joseph Boudreaux colors his graph.
CES first-grader Jacob Golden counts his Sweethearts candies.
CES first-grader Brendan Martin places his Sweethearts candies on his graph.
