Campbellsville High School STLP students have advanced to state competition.
CHS students attended the Regional Showcase at the University of Louisville on Tuesday, Nov. 29. Several students competed there and have advanced to state competition next month.
Results from the Digital Product Online Judging portion of the competition were recently announced, and, as a result, five more CHS students advance to state competition.
CHS junior Sara Farmer will advance as a writer with the Blogger Corps.
Christina Phipps, a sophomore, will advance as a podcaster with the Blogger Corps.
CHS seniors Caylie Blair and Laura Lamb advance in the digital photo competition.
And Gracyne Hash, a freshman, advances in the digital storytelling competition.
The group will join the several other CHS students to compete at the state competition, which is set for Wednesday, April 12, at Rupp Arena in Lexington.
Other students who will participate in the state competition, based on their performance at the regional competition, include freshman Cole Kidwell, sophomore Reagan Knight, junior Tristan Harvey and senior Kailey Morris.
And the CHS team made up of junior Christian Berry, sophomore Randy Harris and seniors Shauna Jones and Ben Rafferty will compete in the Minecraft Circuitry competition.
STLP uses project-based learning principles to empower student learning and achievement through the utilization, and creation, of technology to solve school and community needs.
STLP provides a framework for highlighting the advanced use of technology for learning in Kentucky’s classrooms.
It also provides opportunities for students to share their projects, products and services at local, district, regional, state and national events.
