Campbellsville Elementary School’s Leaders of the Month for the month of January were recently honored with a luncheon.
Teachers choose one student from their classrooms who exhibit leadership skills throughout the month to be named a Leader of the Month.
And, at the end of the month, CES Lighthouse Team members host a lunch to honor the students.
Community leaders are invited and the CES leaders are given the opportunity to talk and eat with them.
Community guests included Taylor County Clerk Mark Carney, retired teacher Betsy Blakeman, Campbellsville Christian Church Children’s Director Jodi Miller, Campbellsville Baptist Senior Pastor Mike O’Neal, attorney Phil Allan Bertram, Campbellsville Independent Schools Director of District Wide Services and Transportation Director David Petett and CIS Payroll Clerk/Insurance Coordinator Rebecca Tungate.
Students honored include kindergarteners Isabella Anderson, Jason Eggers, Malachi Conner, John Hagan Newton and Ava Bennett-Marr; first-graders Logan Weddle, Tommy Caswell, Frehley Whitlow, Willow Griffin and Justice Albrecht; second-graders Lily Coots, Greyson Montgomery, Natalia West, Lashonda Wilkinson and Guy Proctor; and third-graders Cameron Taylor, Ryder Murphy, Madison Philipott, Zarek Stone and Jaylen Clark.
