CES first-graders learn about the phases of the moon

Campbellsville Elementary School first-graders recently learned the phases of the moon.

In Miriah Cox’s and Luci Shofner’s class, students are learning about the moon and stars, and why the moon has different phases.

Students learned about the new moon, first quarter, full moon, last quarter and more.

As an activity, and a treat, students recently used cookies filled with cream to depict the moon’s phases.

Students had fun taking the cookies apart and creating a phase of the moon with the cream.
