Campbellsville Elementary School will begin a new parent pickup system on Monday, Oct. 9.
CES will use the PikMyKid program, which will help organize the school dismissal process and improve safety for students, parents and teachers.
The program is a phone application that can be downloaded onto a smartphone. The app is compatible with Windows, iOS and Android phones.
The app will allow parents to notify CES of any pickup changes and to authorize other people to pick up a child from school.
The app can also alert parents when their child has been picked up or sent home on the school bus, as well as help organize the car line during pickup.
Teachers will use the app to be notified when parents arrive to pick up their children.
The registration process is easy and CES officials ask that all parents register with the phone application as soon as possible.
Parents are asked to register with a current mobile phone number, or, for security reasons, the app will not allow access to a child’s information.
For parents who don’t think CES officials have the correct mobile numbers on file, or if their child does not appear in the app’s home page, contact email@example.com after registration.
Any additional family members or friends who will pick up a child should also register with the app.
New car tags will be sent home in the coming week.
