CMS girls’ basketball team wins at Lady Cougar Classic

Campbellsville Middle School girls’ basketball team competed in the Lady Cougar Classic tournament on Saturday, Aug. 12, at Garrard Middle School in Lancaster.

 

The seventh-grade team defeated Lexington Catholic by a score of 36-25, but couldn’t get a win against Lincoln County or East Hardin.

 

CMS eighth-graders defeated Garrard County and East Hardin, but lost to Elkhorn and Lincoln County in the semi-finals, to take home third place.

 

In addition to the CMS team, Elkhorn, Garrard County, Lincoln County, East Hardin and Lexington Catholic participated in the tournament.

 

Tiarra Cecil is the head CMS girls’ basketball coach. Kathy England is assistant.

 

The team will host Bardstown at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 17, at the Campbellsville Elementary School campus.
