CMS students complete leadership program

Campbellsville Middle School students recently completed Campbellsville University’s leadership program, and were honored at a banquet.

The leadership group – called LOCK, which stands for Leaders of Central Kentucky – met several times during the school year for trips and other activities.

The program is open exclusively to eighth-grade students.

During the school year, the students learned about leadership, teamwork, community service and more.

CMS students participating in the CU leadership program include Abi Wiedewitsch, Arren Hash, Anna Clara Moura, Zaquan Cowan, Kameron Smith, Taylor Knight, Clark Kidwell, John Orberson, Kenzi Forbis and Tristin Faulkner.

Students from Green and Taylor counties also participate.

At this year’s banquet to mark the end of the program, the CMS students dressed as historical figures and those attending were given clues to guess who the students were portraying.

After having dinner and revealing their characters, the students received certificates for completing the leadership program.
