CIS students cast in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ production

A group of Campbellsville Independent Schools students will be featured in an upcoming theater production of “The Wizard of Oz Junior.”

 

Campbellsville University and Town Hall Productions will host a theater camp this summer, which will end with several public performances.

 

CIS students participating include Campbellsville High School freshman Gracyne Hash as Glinda; freshman Gavin Johnson as scarecrow and hunk; Campbellsville Middle School sixth-grader Aubrey Young as house piece, apple tree and scary tree; fourth-grader Kate Billeter as munchkin; fourth-grader Zeke Harris as rowboat, apple tree and scary tree; and Campbellsville Elementary School third-grader Nora Harris as crow, jitterbug and lullaby league.

Camp week is May 29 through June 2, with additional rehearsals June 5-8.

 

Performances will be Friday, June 9, and Saturday, June 10, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, June 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the CU Russ Mobley Theater.

General admission tickets are $7. The cost for seniors, children, CU staff members and students is $5.
