CMS track team picks up wins in Green County

Campbellsville Middle School track team picked up several wins at a meet in Green County on Monday, April 24.

 

Seventh-grader Kitana Taylor finished third in the 100-meter dash and seventh in the 200-meter dash.

 

Aun Daya Coleman, also a seventh-grader, finished fifth in the 100-meter dash and sixth in the 200.

 

Fifth-grader Layla Steen finished fourth in shot put.

 

The girls’ 4x200 and 4x100 relay teams finished in fifth place. Team members include fifth-grader Camilla Taylor, sixth-grader Whitney Frashure and seventh-graders Kitana Taylor and Aun Daya Coleman.

 

CMS seventh-grader Logan Rakes finished fifth in the boys’ shot put.

 

The boys’ 4x100 team finished in fourth place. Members are fifth-grader Tashaun Hart, sixth-graders Cameron Vicari and Nasir Johnson and seventh-grader Dalvian Thornton.

 

CMS sixth-grader Damon Johnson finished seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.

 

CMS and Campbellsville High School track teams will compete on Tuesday, April 25, at Taylor County High School at 5:30 p.m.

 

The last meet of the season is set for Friday, May 5, in Green County at 6 p.m. ET.

 

CHS track coaches are Katie Wilkerson and Steve Doss.
