CHS students see dangers of drinking and driving during mock crash


His mother cried as the doctors worked tirelessly to save his life.

 

He had been flown from the crash in a helicopter, and was fighting for his life in surgery.

 

Campbellsville High School students learned about the dangers of drinking while driving recently, during a mock crash that “injured” and “killed” several of their own.

CIS teachers honored at Campbellsville University

 

Campbellsville Independent Schools’ teachers were honored at Campbellsville University’s Excellence in Teaching Awards ceremony on Saturday, May 19.

 

Campbellsville Elementary School reading interventionist Laura Dicken was honored, as were Campbellsville Middle School reading teacher Sharon Harris and Campbellsville High School art teacher Jo Ann Harris.

 

Campbellsville Independent Schools’ teachers were honored at Campbellsville University’s Excellence in Teaching Awards ceremony on Saturday, May 19. CHS show choir presents ‘Evolution of Music’

 

They sang, they danced and they made popular music come alive.

 

Campbellsville High School show choir presented “Evolution of Music” on Friday, May 11, for its spring concert.

 

The performance featured solos and group numbers, complete with choreography, which the students created themselves.

CHS track team competes at state tournament

 

Campbellsville High School track team members competed at the state meet on Thursday, May 17.

 

The team traveled to University of Kentucky to compete in the Kentucky High School Athletic Association meet.
