Campbellsville Independent Schools community partner Mark Johnson received the Change Award at the Campbellsville Board of Education meeting on Monday, Oct. 16.
Campbellsville Independent Schools Superintendent Kirby Smith honors three Change Award winners each month, including a certified and classified employee and a community member.
Johnson, who is president and CEO of Citizens Bank and Trust Co., received the community Change Award.
The awards are given based upon six elements, which spell the word Eagles. They include Encouraging and exhibiting Attitudes of Greatness, while Leading with high Expectations to Success.
In reading a letter nominating Johnson for the honor, Smith read that Citizens Bank and Trust Co. has been the banking choice for the District for many years.
“Citizens Bank has always given unselfishly to our schools,” Smith said. “Citizens Bank gave the District $25,000 for technology, it has sponsored multiple basketball tournaments, donated money for t-shirts for students and staff members and is a platinum corporate sponsor for CHS athletics.”
Johnson and all Citizens Bank employees are great to work with, Smith said, and provide excellent customer service.
“As the new superintendent, I look forward to continuing the great relationship with Mr. Mark Johnson and Citizens Bank.”
